Mira is currently completing her last year of the BSc Honours in Psychology Program at York University. She joined the lab as a volunteer in the summer of 2016 and is interested in the language development of children. Her work experience with the Peel District School Board has allowed her to provide kindergarten students with appropriate reading interventions that target their phonemic awareness and overall comprehension. Using a variety of resources, she was able to monitor the progress and gradual improvement of children who endured various language challenges. As her undergraduate degree comes to an end, she hopes to start her transition to the career of Speech-Language Pathology in the very near future.
